From Wall Street to the Lecture Hall - A Different Kind of Communication Coach

Carolyn Wingard's path began at Duke University and Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth, followed by over two decades leading global operations, strategy, and business transformation at Goldman Sachs, UBS, and HSBC, roles that demanded precision, persuasion, and the ability to command a room under pressure, from executive committees to regulatory forums across Asia-Pacific.

That experience led naturally to teaching. As a lecturer at HKU and HKUST, Carolyn designed and delivered seminars on Asia's energy transition, infrastructure markets, and executive decision-making, working closely with students navigating the gap between technical competence and confident communication, the skill that too often determines who gets the offer, the promotion, or the seat at the table.

As lead fundraiser for TEDxHong Kong's inaugural event, Carolyn helped raise funds and find partners to bring the event to life. This experience that reinforced a simple belief: communication is a learnable skill, not a fixed trait. It can be coached, practiced, and mastered by anyone willing to do the work.

Wingard Partners was built on that belief, and on 25+ years of operating at the level many clients are working to reach. Today, Carolyn works directly with professionals and students across Hong Kong and beyond, helping them find their voice in English, in interviews, in the boardroom, and on the world stage.
